Sam Purinton is a Gorham resident who believes the town council should work for the people of Gorham, not an old boys club.

Sam grew up in Bowdoin (the town, not the college), and has deep family roots in Gorham. His mother, Kelly Quinn, grew up in Gorham, walking to school for 16 years. His grandfather was Rodney Quinn, who Sam hopes is looking down on him with pride.

Sam, in the infinite wisdom of an 18 year old, went to a college in Florida, Eckerd College. While there, he realized the error of his ways, and after a detour to Peace Corps Dominican Republic, Sam came back to Maine to stay.

When Sam isn’t working or knocking on doors, he can be found reading or watching British detective shows with his girlfriend, Ellie.
