Gorham is at a crossroads. We can choose to go down the path that so many other towns have chosen: The path of strip malls and endless parking lots, the path of main street that excludes people who can’t drive, the path of letting corporate interests do what they want. But there is another way. A way that puts the people of Gorham ahead of corporate interests. A way where the town puts growth in the right places and preserves our open spaces. A way where in 20, 30, or 40 years, the people of Gorham will look back on us with gratitude for the choices we made.

I am running for town council because there is a minority of councilors who see that better way for Gorham, and I want to support them. I’m running because if I get elected and Lou Simms is re-elected, that minority will become the majority. With that majority, we can prioritize Gorham residents above out-of-state corporate interests, we can make sure development pressure is used to make our town better, not worse, and we can make sure the schools are sufficiently funded to give our kids a top class education!

The stakes are high, the opposition will be fierce, and Lou and I will have to work hard. But with your support, we can win these elections and get on the path for a better Gorham for all.
